Police: Bank Street CVS Armed Robber On The Run
The Bank Street CVS was robbed Saturday night by a man who said he had a gun. He made away with $1,400 and is on the run.
NEW LONDON, CT—The CVS at 817 Bank St., in New London was robbed Saturday night by a man who said he had a gun. The suspect made away with around $1,400 in cash and remains at large, police said.
According to New London Police Sgt. Brian Wright, just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a 911 call came in from the CVS store with a report of an armed robbery. Police got there and while they "secured the scene," the suspect was on the run.
Police say the suspect is a "black male, clean shaven, between 5’7’’- 5’10”, and a 'stocky' build." Police said he was wearing a gray hoodie, a black baseball cap, and jeans during the robbery. Police also said he had a black backpack.

Police said, "Although a gun was not clearly displayed at the time of the robbery, a CVS employee reported that the suspect was holding a dark colored object and insinuated he had gun."
