Police Officer Loses To Middle School Student In Dance Battle

A middle school student brought his A-game when he faced off with a New London police officer in an impromptu dance battle.

NEW LONDON, CT - A middle student brought his A-game when he faced off with a New London police officer in an impromptu dance battle. The competition heated up after officers brought pizza (and their best moves) to a talent rehearsal at Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School.

In a video posted Tuesday to the New London Police Department Facebook page, a man identified as Officer Dyer was seen watching a student named Amir show off his best moves.

The middle schooler was then warned to stand back as Dyer broke into a straight-faced moonwalk, eliciting cheers from the crowd gathered around them.

Dyer was ultimately forced to concede after Amir fired back with some energetic leg work, ending with a full-on split. The officer subsequently threw his hands up in the air and walked away, leaving his dreams of appearing on "Dancing With the Stars" dashed, according to the post.

Dyer is apparently already practicing for his next battle, perhaps hoping to one day redeem himself.
