Popular Restaurant Closes After Fire
Fire officials said a Willimantic restaurant is closed due to a fire after reopening for only two months.

WILLIMANTIC, CT - Fire officials said a Willimantic restaurant is closed due to a fire after reopening for only two months, NBC Connecticut reported. Firefighters responded after receiving a call Wednesday around 6 p.m. about the fire at Nita's Restaurant on North Street.
Fire officials said no injuries were reported and no one was inside the restaurant at the time of fire, as it had closed at 2:30 p.m. that afternoon, according to NBC Connecticut. It will remain closed for the foreseeable future, only a couple months after reopening in September following a change in management.
Firefighters said they had to remove part of the building's roof to let the smoke out, NBC Connecticut reported. The fire took about an hour and a half to extinguish, fire officials said.
