President Trump To Address Coast Guard Graduates In New London

NEW LONDON, CT — President Donald Trump will give the keynote speech at the May 17 graduation commencement ceremony of the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, reports The New York Times.

The event will mark Trump's first visit to Connecticut since taking office on Jan. 20, writes NBC Connecticut News.

President Barack Obama delivered the keynote at the coast guard academy twice during his tenure, in 2011 and 2015.

Traditionally, the sitting president delivers the keynote at one of the nation's military academies each year.
