Taz Russell Petersen, 66, of Groton, grew up in East Lyme and later attended Southern Connecticut University.

Paul R. Biekert, 93, of Uncasville, a longtime resident of Groton, served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Mary Claire Tellier, 101, of Groton Long Point, grew up in Norwich and worked at New England Telephone Company.

Carl Lawrence Smith, 89, of North Stonington, worked at Montgomery Ward in New London, Modern Electric in Groton, and Morrone Electric in Westerly, RI.

Nicholas S. Curcio, 95, of New London, served in the U.S. Navy and was based out of the US Submarine Base New London.
