School Abruptly Closes New London Campus: Report

NEW LONDON, CT — As of this week, a school that offered certifications in beauty, electrical work and dental and medical fields has closed its New London and Danbury campuses, as reported by the New London Day.

According to the Day, Ridley-Lowell Business & Technical Institute closed abruptly Wednesday evening, emailing students that all future classes and programs were now cancelled. School officials said in the email the closure was due to "severe financial and operational challenges over the last year."

Many students were shocked by the news and said the school gave them no prior notice about the closing, according to the Day.
