School Board Interviewing Candidates For Interim New London Superintendent

The New London School Board is interviewing candidates for the position of interim superintendent.

NEW LONDON, CT - The New London School Board will be interviewing candidates for the position of interim superintendent, the New London Day reported. The board is currently considering four people for the position and plans to start interviews next week.

Board of Education President Scott Garbini has declined to make the candidates' names public, according to the New London Day. Each of the four have submitted their resume and will be interviewed by the board next Tuesday and Wednesday. Officials said one candidate was recommended by retiring Superintendent Manuel Rivera, while the other three were suggestions from board members, the New London Day reported. Board members have until Friday to add more candidates' resumes into the mix.
