Old Saybrook, Conn. ~ The Southeastern Connecticut chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to the success of small businesses, will present a free Small Business Workshop on “How to Select the Right Media for Your Business" with media maven Maria Miranda.

Everyone’s on Facebook… right? No one reads the daily paper anymore… right? What does the Greek myth about Pandora have to do with media?

If you find it difficult to choose the right media for your organization, this presentation is for you.

During this interactive session, Maria Miranda, Creative Director of Miranda Creative, will guide attendees through a media buying decision tree. By asking a series of questions – “Who is my target audience? What are my conversion goals? What is the buying behavior of my market?” – it is possible to define the most effective media options for any business, organization or non-profit. In addition to the selection process, Maria will discuss common measurement tools to help confirm ad placement effectiveness, and options for finding critical data regarding media, markets and other opportunities.

Workshop Presenter Maria Miranda is the principal and creative director of Miranda Creative, an award-winning marketing and communications firm in Norwich, Connecticut. With a growing roster of clients on a national scale, Maria and her colleagues manage or advise the new media programs (websites, social media, mobile media) in a wide range of industries. Maria is a regular presenter for many regional chambers, a guest specialist on WFSB/Channel 3 and has led a variety of social media workshops nationwide.
