Sen. Murphy Tours Historic New London With Mayor Tuesday
Sen. Chris Murphy will visit and tour downtown New London Tuesday with stops at many local businesses along the way.
NEW LONDON, CT — New London Mayor Michael Passero said he'll be highlighting and hosting a guided a walking tour Tuesday Oct. 8 with U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and other state, local and community officials.
They will tour New London’s historic downtown and waterfront district to highlight economic development and small businesses that are thriving in the city, the mayor's office said in a press release.
Murphy will "assemble feedback that he will take to Washington to further enhance his advocacy for local businesses in Connecticut," according to Passero.

The tour will begin at 11:15 a.m. at the Garde Arts Center and will continue down State Street
to Bank Street with several stops at the businesses along the way including.
