Senator Marches In New London St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Senator Paul Formica and other elected officials took part in this year's New London St. Patrick's Day Parade.

NEW LONDON, CT — The 2018 New London St. Patrick’s Day Parade took place Sunday, March 11 in downtown New London. The parade included service men and women, local businesses and nonprofits, veterans and schools.

Elected officials, including State Senator Paul Formica (Republican-East Lyme), also took part in the annual tradition.

“It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and so many people come together to celebrate,” Formica said in a release. “The New London community has a lot of heart, energy and vibrancy. That was on full display at the parade. I want to thank all those who organized the event, marched in it and came out to support our community. We are very lucky to have such dedicated individuals working hard to make New London a great place for families, students and businesses. I had a lot of fun celebrating alongside so many local residents. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!”
