Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for New London County

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern New London County.

The warning is in effect until 11:45 a.m.

According to NWS, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour.

Locations impacted include: Groton, Mystic, Westerly, Ledyard, Griswold, Preston. Voluntown, Norwich--new London, North Stonington, Poquonock Bridge and Pawcatuck.
