Shots Fired on Grand Street in New London
A large group reportedly gathered in the roadway the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 1, and one to several shots were fired, police said.

On Sunday, Nov. 1, at approximately 3:37 p.m., New London Police were dispatched to the area of Grand Street and Connecticut Avenue to investigate the report of a large group that had gathered in the roadway and the possibility of anywhere between one to several shots being fired.
Upon arriving on scene, officers found the street clear and officers learned that the shot or shots had come from the porch area of a residence on Grand Street, according to New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard.
“Police did not locate any potential suspects or victims on scene,” he said. “However, they are following up on information as to who the involved parties are. They did recover one bullet and one shell casing from the porch area.”
