Suspect in Chelsea Bank Robbery Sought by New London Police
Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.

NEW LONDON, CT – Police are asking anyone with information on a recent bank robbery to get in touch with them promptly.
On Wednesday, at approximately 9:45 a.m., police received a report that the Chelsea Groton Savings Bank on Montauk Avenue had been robbed. It was reported that a male entered the bank, handed a teller a note and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said no weapon was displayed during the robbery and no injuries were reported. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin/medium build and scruffy facial hair.

The suspect was reported to be wearing light blue jeans, black sneakers and a thick black coat with a fur trimmed hood. He was last reported to be seen running north on Summer Street from Bank Street.
The FBI is assisting in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.
