The district previously issued a district-wide advisory Monday due to substantial rainfall, which has since been lifted.

Re-samples will be drawn for the four swimming areas Friday, with results expected back Saturday. Swimming in these areas is discouraged until further notice.

The district advised swimmers: "Please be aware that rain or other contamination events occurring before a sampling may contribute to elevated bacterial counts in the water. Areas with stormwater runoff (storm drainpipes or extensive impervious surfaces), or low water turnover (inland bathing areas) are particularly vulnerable to increased bacterial counts following rainfall. We recommend those individuals responsible for the bathing areas take these events into consideration."
