Tax Cuts Possible In New London Proposed Budget

Some property owners will get a tax cut if a proposed budget passes.

NEW LONDON, CT - Mayor Michael Passero's proposed 2019-20 budget will result in a tax break for some, according to The New London Day. The proposed budget would result in a drop in the city's mill rate of 43.62 mills to 39.9 mills.

A revaluation of city property showed a 9.4 net increase in the grand list.

The $93.55 million spending plan includes $46.6 million for the city and $46.8 million for education.
