Teen, 18, Charged In Shooting In New London: Police
The 18-year-old was arrested on a warrant, according to police.
NEW LONDON, CT — An 18-year-old Waterbury resident has been arrested in connection with a shooting in New London in April, according to police.
Richard Laramy was arrested Wednesday on a warrant and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and criminal attempt at first-degree assault. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
The arrest stems from an incident that happened around 4 p.m. on April 4 in the area of Coleman Street and Vauxhall Street in New London.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance with possible shots fired in the area of Coleman Street and Vauxhall Street. Police found spent casings at the scene, according to police.
Two vehicles were reportedly seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed, police said.

Police said at the time that the incident didn’t appear to be a random act.
Members of the Groton Town Police Department, Waterbury Police Department, and Connecticut State Police assisted New London Detectives with the investigation.
