Three New London Public Works Employees Fired
No one was hurt due to the alleged safety violations, but the mayor said people need to take responsibility for violations.
Public Works Director Tim Hanser and staff members Tom Ryan and Okoi Tucker were fired from the department Friday, May 9, Mayor Justin Finizio told NBC Connecticut.
An investigation reportedly yielding findings of unspecified violations that occurred even though training and previous disciplinary actions occurred, he said.
FOX CT reported that Brian Sear will serve as interim director beginning in June.
