Traffic Light Disagreement in New London Leads to 1 Arrest

Police said they arrested a man after he engaged in a heated argument and physical confrontation with another man at a stop sign.

NEW LONDON, CT - Police made an arrest Tuesday in a disturbance case stemming from a disagreement between two people at a traffic light.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the New London Police Department received multiple calls reporting what appeared to be an incident of "road rage" involving two vehicles on Route 32 southbound in the area of Connecticut College. Officers were immediately dispatched to the location for further investigation.

Upon arrival in the area, officers located the two reported vehicles and had contact with multiple people. Further investigation disclosed that after an exchange of "words" and "gestures" at a traffic light, a traffic related disagreement escalated into an incident of physical confrontation.

Nathan Moore, 44, of Montville was taken into custody and charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, threatening and breach of peace.

Shamil Toro, 25, of Norwich was issued a criminal summons on scene for breach of peace.
