The will start at 7 a.m. with a half-mile swim along a triangular course in the waters of Long Island Sound. From there, racers will ride a 16.1-mile loop through New London and Waterford. The route will include Pequot Ave., Gardner Ave., Ocean Ave., Great Neck Road, Rope Ferry Road, Gardners Wood Road, Jordan Cove Road, Shore Road, Goshen Road, and Quarry Road. The race ends with a 3.1-mile run which will mostly follow Lower Blvd. and Pequot Ave.

Awards will be given for the top three finishers in several categories, as well as the top men’s, women’s, and mixed teams. Categories include age divisions as well as “Clydesdales,” or men over 200 pounds, and “Athenas,” or women over 150 pounds.
