UPDATE: Quaker Hill Woman's Cause of Death Still Undetermined
New London police found the woman's body behind a business around 8 a.m. Friday.

All we know right now is that Emily Anne Eshenfelder, 26, of Quaker Hill died tragically Friday morning when her body was discovered to the rear of 36 Bank St. in New London. An official cause of death may be 6 to 8 weeks away, the New London Day reports. Police are still investigating but it appears the woman’s death may have been an accident.
According to Emily’s obituary, she graduated from Waterford High School where she played sports. She also loved working in her family business as Manager of Captain Scotts Lobster Dock in New London was recently excited about her new business venture the Captain Scotts Lobster Dock Food Truck, the obituary notice stated.

Emily Anne Eshenfelder 26, of Quaker Hill died unexpectedly in New London on Friday.
She was born September 5, 1988 in New London the daughter of Thomas E. Eshenfelder of New London and Tracee Martin of Quaker Hill.

Emily graduated from Waterford High School where she played sports , and especially enjoyed field hockey. She started playing ice hockey at the age of 8 with the SE CT Youth Hockey Seahawks, and then playing and traveling the country with the CT Polar Bears even making a trip to the US Nationals. She continued playing hockey her entire life and was currently playing roller hockey on the Crystal Rock Team in the Eastern CT Roller Hockey League in Groton.
She loved working in her family business as Manager of Captain Scotts Lobster Dock in New London was recently excited about her new business venture the Captain Scotts Lobster Dock Food Truck. She was both the brains and the beauty of the operation and loved driving it around town!
She was a huge fan of Lady GaGa, and attended numerous concerts, even traveling to Ireland to see her live in concert. Emily loved dressing up in outrageous costumes and outfits, always standing out wherever she went. Emily also enjoyed her large Converse sneaker collection. Emily loved her dog Pancake who was her loyal companion, by her side for every adventure.
Emily was a free spirit that lived her life to the fullest, and leaves behind her Mom Tracee, her Dad Tom, her sister; Kendall B. and brothers Thomas D. and Peter M Eshenfelder, her paternal grandparents; Edmund J. Eshenfelder and Sharon A. Eshenfelder, maternal granparents; Betty A. Martin and David A. Martin, her Uncle Peter S. Eshenfelder and his wife Pamela, her aunt; Susan A. Tierney and her husband Brendon and cousins Hannah and Austin Eshenfelder and Owen, Oliver and Celia Tierney. In addition to her immediate family she leaves her best friend Joe Fenton…they were inseparable.
A celebration of Emily’s life will be held 2 PM Wednesday at Captain Scotts Lobster Dock, 80 Hamilton St., New London.
