WATCH: Whale Spotted Just Off New London

NEW LONDON, CT — NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan shared on social media an incredible video showing a humpback whale breaching just off New London.

Hanrahan wrote on social media, "Wow! A group of southeastern Connecticut high school teachers fish after school every Tuesday. Check out the incredible humpback whale they saw today breaching in The Race just off New London. Thanks to Seth Yarish (NFA), Jeff Withey (Bacon Academy), and David Bednarz (Ledyard HS) for sending me this great video."
