The Johnson & Wales University golf squad defeated Mitchell 329-419 in a dual match at Cranston Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Johnson & Wales was led by sophomore Sam Parella (Milford, Mass.) who fired a 78 while senior Mike Quill (North Eastham, Mass.) had an 82 over the par 71 course that measures 6,493 yards. Senior Richard Palaia was the low scorer for Mitchell with a 95 on the day.
The Wildcats will return to action on Friday when they will compete at the UMass Dartmouth/Hampton Inn Invitational.
