Williams School Soccer Teams Look Toward Championship
Both boys' and girls' teams compete in NEPSAC games today

Both the boys' and girls' varsity soccer teams from are hoping to advance to a championship game today as they compete in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Tournament.
Rocky Hill School in East Greenwich, R.I., will host today's 1 p.m. game against the Williams School boys' team. The girls' team will also compete in an away game in Brookline, Mass., taking on the Southfield School team at 2 p.m.
Both teams advanced to today's semi-final games after tournament wins on Wednesday. The boys defeated Waring School 2-1 in an away game in Beverly, Mass. and the girls won a 6-2 home game against Brimmer and May School, of Chestnut Hill, Mass.

The wins were a good opening for Williams, which has advanced to the tournament itself for the first time in years.
"It was the first time the girls' team has ever made it to the tournament and the first time the boys' team has made it in approximately a decade," said Tim Reitz, director of communication at Williams School.

If either team wins, they will advance to a a championship game on Sunday. The winner in the boys' competition will face either Lexington Christian Academy of Lexington, Mass. or Forman School of Litchfield. The winner in the girls' game will face either Tilton School of Tilton, N.H. or Chase Collegiate School of Waterbury.
The boys' record for the season stands at 8-6-2 while the girls' record is 11-4.
