Properties across town, including Gaylordsville, offered sizable lots and varied square footage, suggesting steady demand and consistent pricing for mid- to higher-end homes.
• FFO: Chillin Share New Song "Perpetual Motion": Listen (stereogum.com) — New Milford is on the tour schedule for indie-punk band FFO: Chillin, who are set to play The Maxx on September 25 with labelmates Dream Fatigue. The Concord, N.H., group just released their energetic new single "Perpetual Motion," giving local fans a preview of the fast, scrappy sound they'll bring to town later this month.
• Mass. man dies after rock climbing fall on Appalachian Trail in Conn. (boston.com) — A climber who fell while rock climbing near St. John's Ledges on the Appalachian Trail in Kent was taken to New Milford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 30-year-old Massachusetts man had past ties to nearby Warren, and state environmental and police officials are still investigating the circumstances of the fall.
