Properties across town, including Gaylordsville, offered sizable lots and varied square footage, suggesting steady demand and consistent pricing for mid- to higher-end homes.

• Mass. man dies after rock climbing fall on Appalachian Trail in Conn. (boston.com) — A climber who fell while rock climbing near St. John's Ledges on the Appalachian Trail in Kent was taken to New Milford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 30-year-old Massachusetts man had past ties to nearby Warren, and state environmental and police officials are still investigating the circumstances of the fall.
