Local Crafters Chris Plaisted and Jeremy Shoop To Be Featured at Newtown Arts Festival

The creative sculptures of Chris Plaisted Design and the unique illustrations of Jeremy Shoop's Studio will be sold at juried show.

Local artists Chris Plaisted Designs and Jeremy Shoop's Studio will be featured sellers at the September 17 and 18, 2016 Arts Festival in Newtown, Connecticut, as part of the juried artist market. They join artists and artisans from throughout New England who demonstrate works of high quality and interest. Plaisted produces creative sculptures in concrete, metal, wood and stone, which have been featured in many area sculpture and installation shows. Shoop offers one-of-a-kind illustrations and screen prints, some of them on unique t-shirts. He sells through Etsy, as well as other venues.

The fifth annual Newtown Art's Festival, which includes many local concerts and performances during the month of September, culminates with the September 17-18 outdoor event with 75 artisans and food booths, live music, arts activities, dance performances, puppetry, graffiti art, and a wine and beer garden. The location is Fairfield Hills, Exit 11 of I84. Admission is $5 per person at the gate, $3 for children 6-12 and children under 6 are free. For more information, http://www.newtownartsfestival.com.
