New Milford Account Arrested Again In Fraud Case: Police

An accountant is again facing charges for defrauding a client, his third arrest in the past few months.

NEW MILFORD, CT — An accountant is facing new charges in a fraud case in New Milford, according to police.

Carl Benjamin Anderson of Anderson Accounting and Finance, LLC was hired by a small business owner to complete bookkeeping and taxes services. Police said Anderson stole from the client.

He was charged with third-degree larceny. He posted $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in Torrington Superior Court last Wednesday.

Police said this is Anderson's third arrest in the past few months of "various degrees of larceny." Police are still speaking with Anderson's other potential victims.

Previously, Anderson was arrested in January on charges that he bilked a business owner out of $20,000.
