Obituary: Eric F. Dessin, 76, of New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT -- Eric F. Dessin age 76, peacefully entered into eternal rest with his family by his side on Sunday May 20, 2018.

Eric was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 24, 1941 and grew up in the Bronx. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1959 -1962.

He was the son of the late Herman and Marguerite Dessin, and brother of Denise (Dave) Burke. Eric was a jack of all trades, always learning, and sharing the things he loved with those he held close to him, especially his passion for music. He took pride in all that he did and cherished his family unconditionally. Eric will be remembered fondly as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and our family’s hero. That, along with his unfailing wit and humor, will be his legacy.

Eric is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen Dessin, his daughters Donna (John) Crisalli and Nicole Dessin (Moe Vincent), his granddaughters Amanda Shrack (Edward) and Alicia Crisalli, and his beloved dog, Daisy. He is predeceased by his son, Eric James Dessin.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 4-7 pm at Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford.
