4th Annual 'Pony Rides For A Purpose' Honors Sandy Hook Student Jessica Rekos
The King's Bridge Farm and her family created the event to pay tribute to Jessica Rekos each May because her birthday is on May 10.

NEWTOWN, CT — The 4th Annual Pony Rides For A Purpose to honor Sandy Hook student and horse rider Jessica Adrienne Rekos will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016, from 11a.m. - 4 p.m. at the 2nd Company Governor's Horse Guard, 4 Wildlife Drive, Newtown.
"Jessica was a beautiful, bright and funny 6 year old. She loved her family, horses, and whales. Jessica took weekly riding lessons with Montana at King's Bridge Farm for 14 months and told her parents she wanted to "ride forever". Jessica was one of the 20 innocent children murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School," the group's organizers wrote on their Facebook page.
The King's Bridge Farm family created the event to pay tribute to Jessica and raise money for the memorial fund her parents established after her tragic death. The event is held each year in May because Jessica's birthday is on May 10.
The event includes pony rides, horse shoe painting, crafts, face painting, a bake sale, food and drinks, raffle and silent auction. Admission is $10 per child which includes a pony ride crafts and more. There is no admission fee for adults.
