NEWTOWN, CT — A Newtown ice cream shop recently ranked the best in the U.S. is preparing to reopen for the 2026 season.
Ferris Acres Creamery is set to reopen on May 5, according to the business’s website.
The seasonal creamery, located at 144 Sugar Street, typically draws long lines during the spring and summer months and has become a destination for both residents and visitors.
The reopening comes after the shop was recently named the No. 1 ice cream shop in the country in a new ranking based on more than 100 million user ratings.
Ferris Acres Creamery closes each winter and reopens in the spring for its regular season.
