Search Underway For Missing Dog In Newtown

Recovery volunteers said the dog has been missing since Wednesday.

NEWTOWN, CT — Volunteers are asking for the public’s help locating a missing dog that disappeared this week in Newtown.

According to CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteers, the male lab/pit mix has been missing since Wednesday, May 13, near Merlins Lane in Newtown.

The dog weighs about 70 pounds and was last seen wearing a red leather collar, according to the recovery group.

Volunteers described the dog as timid and skittish and asked residents not to call out to or chase him if spotted.

Anyone who sees the dog is asked to immediately call CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteers at 860-921-6291.
