Organizers said they will move the event to the Edmond Town Hall theater at 45 Main Street if there is inclement weather.

A Newtown High School student will start the ceremony by playing "Taps," followed by musical performances and remarks from local officials.

Poppies will be given out, and luminaries are available for a $5 donation to American Legion programs.

The event is free and open to the public.
