— This Bethel delicatessen has been a local favorite for years. The deli is located in a small shopping center at the corner of Route 6 and Old Hawleyville Road in the Stony Hill part of town.

Popular with the work crowd, you'll usually find a line during the noon lunch hour. For Pete's Sake offers daily hot specials, such as pasta or a hot open-face turkey sandwich. The regular menu boasts standard cold sandwiches, as well as more adventurous sandwiches made with roasted red peppers, hot chicken cutlets, Thousand Island dressing or horseradish. The deli uses Boar's Head meats on wraps and rolls. Potato, chicken and tuna salads also are available.

The deli has a few tables, but most orders are takeout. A small selection of chips and packaged treats line the shelves, and there's a good variety of cold drinks. The deli accepts cash and checks.
