— This understated restaurant is tucked away in a Danbury neighborhood close to the mall. The Sesame Seed is known for its salad, hummus and other Middle Eastern favorites.
The Sesame Seed Salad is deceptively simple with its chopped romaine, onions, tomatoes and feta. But with the addition of fresh parsley and a house-made lemony vinaigrette, this salad produces a uniquely refreshing flavor that I have yet to duplicate at home.
And don't skip hummus. The creamy dip is served with soft triangles of pita and can be addictive, particularly when mixed with the baba ghanouj.
