Brookfield business owner Scott Johnson raised over $22,000 through T-shirt sales to benefit Newtown students.

NEWTOWN, CT-- Brookfield business owner Scott Johnson raised over $22,000 through T-shirt sales following the tragedy of the Sandy Hook School shootings, according to The News Times.
Johnson told the News Times that he set out to sell T-shirts to benefit the students directly affected by the tragedy, and assist college-bound students with scholarships. He will donate the $22,000 to The Newtown Scholarship Association this Friday, according to the paper.
The Newtown Scholarship Association (NSA) was established in 1937 "as a nonprofit organization to promote and advance the education of secondary school graduates residing in Newtown, CT. Since its founding, the mission of the NSA has been to help close the gap between tuition costs and what a student can afford to pay, ensuring that all students—regardless of financial circumstances—can attain a higher education. To date, the organization has awarded over $4 million in scholarships to more than 3,000 students," their website states.
Johnson's LinkedIn profile notes that he owns the Brookfield-based digital marketing company Mack Media.
