Decision Reached in Sandy Hook Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Two families who lost children in the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary had filed a wrongful death suit against the town.

NEWTOWN, CT - A wrongful death lawsuit filed against Newtown by two families who lost children in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School has been dismissed.

The 29-page ruling by Superior Court Judge Robin Wilson argues in part that educators exercised reasonable discretion in the way they responded to the 2012 slaying of 26 first-graders and educators at Sandy Hook School.

The families have indicated they will appeal.
