Former Newtown Police Dispatcher Pleads Guilty to Distributing Steroids
The Bridgeport man faces a maximum prison term of 10 years.

A former civilian dispatcher with Newtown police pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids on Monday.
A long term investigation conducted by federal authorities revealed that individuals, including a law enforcement officer were receiving shipments of steroid ingredients from China and manufacturing and distributing wholesale quantities of steroids, according to Deirdre M Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. The investigation also revealed that certain members of the conspiracy were distributing prescription pills, including oxycodone as well as cocaine.
In pleading guilty, Jason Chickos, 46, of Bridgeport admitted that he purchased anabolic steroids from another member of the conspiracy and distributed them to others.
