Greenwich Police Promotions Include Newtown Man

A Newtown resident was among four members of the Greenwich police department who were promoted during a ceremony Tuesday night.

Robert Lombardo, who lives in Newtown with his wife and six children, was among four members of the Greenwich police department who were promoted Tuesday night.

Lombardo, who has coached Newtown Babe Ruth baseball for seven years, was promoted to lieutenant during a well attended ceremony in Greenwich. In the audience was Lombardo's family, including his brother, Wilton Police Chief Michael Lombardo.

The other Greenwich sworn personnel who were promoted to their new ranks were Capt. Pam Gustovich, Sgt. Martin O'Reilly and Deputy Chief Mark Marino.
