Lawsuit Against Town of Newtown Over Sandy Hook Shootings Continues

A new development in the legal case.

Newtown is gearing up for a legal fight after two Sandy Hook parents filed wrongful-death suits against the town, alleging that its school security was inadequate at the time of the December 2012 mass shooting.

The town wanted to subpoena a state marshal to learn if the lawsuit was filed within the two-year statute of limitations window, but a judge ruled that a court filing would suffice, according to the News-Times.
