New Details in Newtown High Sexting Case

Three juveniles are facing felony charges.

Local police and school officials worry that teens don’t understand the legal and other trouble sexting could cause.

Three juveniles were arrested and another 20 were sent to the juvenile review board after Newtown Police completed a six-month investigation that saw the sharing and in some cases the sale of sexually explicit teen photos.

Three boys were arrested on felony child pornography charges, according to the News-Times. They charged between $10 and $20 to share pictures with classmates, police said.

Police Chief James Viadero said that the pictures could haunt teens later in life if they end up on the Internet.
