Abby

Abby is a sweet and joyful 2-3 year old Short Haired Pointer. She has a lot of energy and may be under the impression that she is a hunting dog. She needs a loving, energetic owner, and is learning to walk on a leash and to obey basic commands. She is very athletic, and must be on a leash or in an area enclosed by a high fence. (She can jump!) Her former owner kept her crated, and was unable to keep her environment clean and safe, so she was surrendered to the shelter. Abby is adjusting well to her new life, and loves people and attention. But she’s not crazy about cats, dogs, or other pets. Abby wants to please, and will be a wonderful partner to the right person(s). She needs a lot of exercise and loves a good pat. So if you want a young, happy dog who loves to walk and run, she’s your girl. As with all of the animals at the Brian J. Silverlieb Animal Care and Control Center, Abby is spayed and current with all medical needs.

Petey

What a handsome lad! Who could resist this happy 2-3 year old Coonhound mix? Petey has a lot of energy, and while he is learning basic obedience, he will need an owner who is ready, willing and able to continue training him. His original owner kept him crated most of the time, and surrendered him so that he could have a more active life. Petey wants to please, but still needs some basic training. He is young enough to love playtime, but needs some help understanding the whole ‘leash thing’. Staff and volunteers are working with him daily, and he is a quick study.

As with all of the animals at the Brian J. Silverlieb Animal Care and Control Center, Petey is neutered and current with all medical needs.
