Newtown Board of Education Honors 15 Retirees, Retracts Non-Renewal Notices
12 Newtown teachers will keep their jobs next year
The Danbury News Times reports that the Newtown Board of Education honored 15 teachers' who are retiring at the end of the school year. The teachers' possess 344 years of classroom experience. Because of the retirees, the Board of Education was able to withdraw non-renewal notices for 12 teachers, the paper reports.
