Alison Plante is running for Legislative Council (District 3) as a Democrat.

Occupation: Program Manager at Bridgewater Associates.

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Keeping our schools excellent.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I intend to dig in deeply to understand our education budget, partner with the Board of Education, and ensure we are working with experts and peer school districts to share best practices and solutions.

If elected, I also plan to work on spurring economic development in town as a key lever to grow the tax base.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Over a decade in corporate strategy and problem-solving at a major financial institution - I've dealt with highly complex issues, lots of stakeholders, and tight budgets and deadlines, all of which are relevant to a role in municipal government,

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I'm extremely humbled by the support I've received so far and I'm genuinely excited about the opportunity to serve my neighbors if elected to the Legislative Council.
