Newtown Coffee Shop to Host 'Latte Art Throwdown'
The event will feature a competition featuring the Nutmeg State's top baristas.
NEWTOWN, CT — It's become increasingly common to see an artistic design made with foam at the top of your morning latte, and a coffee shop in Newtown is hosting a competition to determine the Nutmeg State's top latte artists.
Cafe Expresso, located at 150 South Main Street, will be hosting the Winter Warm-Up Barista Exhibition, featuring Connecticut's most talented baristas. The exhibition will feature an espresso drink competition as well as a 'Latte Art Throwdown'.
According to a release cited by the News Times, the event will feature 15 of the state's top baristas.

The event will be held on Feb. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.
