The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Increasing budget and as I have on the Board of Finance I will continue to hold both BOE and BOS responsible for their budget requests and continue to review the budget in detail to see if there are more places for reductions.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
Over the past 2 budget cycles I have asked the hard questions and helped reduce the budget both years from what was requested.
Accomplishments:
I was previously appointed to CH Booth Library Board of Trustees, Newtown Economic Development Commission, and Southbury Tax Incentive Task Force and Pomperaug Woods Board
Other issues:
We need to continue to fund out roads program and get our roads back in shape. I believe that all children should receive a good education. I also want to make sure that we attract the right businesses to Newtown that people want to use and that will benefit the town.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
In all my roles, I have been involved in finances and have helped those boards manage their budgets.
