Newtown Food Truck Festival: Organizers Announce Details for First Annual Event

Foodies will enjoy over a dozen food trucks, craft beer, live music and more. Several trucks have already confirmed their attendance

NEWTOWN, CT — Food truck lovers in the area will be in euphoria on June 17, as the Newtown Food Truck Festival will make its debut in what the organizers say will be an annual event.

The festival will be held at the Fairfield Hills campus featuring over 15 food trucks, craft beer, live music, a tag sale, kid's activities and local vendors. The event is free and open to friends, families and children of all ages.

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce, Newtown Parks & Recreation and the Newtown Youth Academy are teaming up to host the event, which will benefit local causes including health and community advancement. The fundraiser will be the first of its kind in the area.

The event will also take place during the Annual Mad Dash. Here are some things you need to know about the event.

Schedule

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 17. It will be held at the Fairfield Hills Campus located at 3 Primrose Street in Newtown.
