Newtown Home Invasion Suspect Arraigned on Other Charges
The man was in court for an alleged domestic incident that occurred hours before the reported home invasion.
A Newtown man who allegedly commited an armed home invasion was arraigned on unrelated charges related to a reported domestic incident.
Michael Dziubina, 27, was released after he posted a $75,000 bond on charges of third-degree assault and unlawful restraint, according to the Connecticut Post.
He allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in Monroe hours before the reported home invasion, police said.

Police responded to an Andras Road residence Dec. 6 on reports of gunshots around 4 a.m.
Dziubina allegedly used a handgun to break a door in order to gain entry, Newtown Police said.

He was charged with home invasion, first-degree burglary, first-degree reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
