The Newtown High School Boys Varsity Football team beat Southbury's Pomperaug Panthers 49-3 Friday, Sept. 26 in an exciting game.

The Newtown High School Boys Varsity Football team beat Southbury’s Pomperaug Panthers 49-3 Friday, Sept. 26 in an exciting home game.
The Night Hawks led the Panthers 39-0 dominating the first half of the game.
The Panthers managed to squeeze in 3 points ended the third quarter but the Night Hawks won with a final game score of 49 to 3. This is the team’s fourth win of the season. The Newtown High School Boys Varsity Football team is coached by Steven George.

The Newtown High School Night Hawks play the Barlow High School Falcons on October 2 at 7 p.m.
