Newtown Police Commissioners to Examine Procedures After Sergeant Arrested for Steroids
The commission vowed to look into how Santucci and Chicko's allegedly got away with selling steroids for years.

The Newtown Board of Police Commissioners said in a statement that they will be examining departmental procedures after a former police sergeant and civilian dispatcher were arrested for allegedly selling steroids.
The board also called the alleged actions ”totally unacceptable” and ”highly disturbing,” according to the Connecticut Post.
Former Sgt. Steven Santucci, dispatcher Jason Chickos and others were indicted by a federal grand jury.

Santucci allegedly lived a lavish lifestyle complete with $30,000 African safaris, cruises and more than $111,000 spent on lodging over about three years.
He resigned following his arrest.
