Newtown Police Use K9 and Find 20 Heroin Packets in Car Outside Police Station: Report

A woman was waiting in the Newtown police station's lobby for her boyfriend when officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

NEWTOWN, CT — A 28-year-old Bridgewater was arrested on Saturday outside of the Newtown Police Department after a police K9 found drugs in her vehicle, according to The News Times.

Courtney Troccolla was waiting in the station's lobby for her boyfriend who was just arrested when officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana, the report said. Police said the officers asked her to bring them to her vehicle and when police brought their K9 the dog found 20 full packets of heroin and several syringes.
